Environmental concerns regarding gasoline-powered vehicles and declination of global petroleum reserves had shifted transportation trend to focus on green vehicles, mainly electric vehicles (EV). However, limitations in battery capacity require users to stop frequently for recharging. Slow charging process and the need for frequent charging sessions which causes inconvenience to the users still remain as issues that limit its further commercialization. Therefore, a more convenient charging mechanism using wireless power transmission (WPT) known as wireless charging is being developed worldwide. In this study, the authors focus on the concept of convenient charging system using magnetic resonant coupling theory which magnetically charge EVs while in motion, referred to as dynamic charging and safety regulations related.
