Conditions regardng Contents:
- Papers must be previously unpublished.
- Papers must exhibit originality and lasting value in terms of engineering and/or technology.
- Papers must emphasize the degree of contribution to engineering and technology, and must exhibit practicality and timeliness.
- The main title, sub-title, text, and presentation data must not contain product or company names or logos representing such names.
- Presentation slides must not contain the name of product or company, or logos representing such names (however this rule shall not apply to the first page of a presentation).
- Papers must not contain matters under dispute or contents that defame other parties.
- Research involving human subjects must be performed in accordance with the Ethical Guidelines for Research Involving Human Subjects prepared by the JSAE and accepted by an Ethics Review Board or the like, and the participants in these
experiments must have provided their informed consent. Manuscripts must state that experiments and so on have been approved by a Review Board.

Qualifications and Requirement of Presenters:
Membership of the JSAE is not required. Undergraduate students cannot make an application.
Presenters are required to submit manuscripts of proceedings paper and that of summarized paper, and make a presentation in the congress.
One presenter can make only one presentation.

- Changes to Page Count Requirements for Proceedings Manuscripts
Current Requirements (Until 2026 Spring)
・Japanese manuscript From 3 pages Up to 6 pages
・English manuscript From 4 pages Up to 8 pages
(For the speaker who is applying to submit for IJAE, 2 pages)
Revised Requirements (Starting 2026 Autumn)
・Japanese manuscript From 2 pages Up to 6 pages
(For the speaker who is planning to submit for Transactions of JSAE or IJAE, 2 pages)
・English manuscript From 2 pages Up to 8 pages
(For the speaker who is planning to submit for IJAE, 2 pages)
- Discontinuation of the "Simultaneous Submission System"
The "Simultaneous Submission System," which previously allowed for the concurrent submission of journal papers with the same content as the congress proceedings, has been discontinued.
Regarding Copyright:
All submitted papers and the copyrights are subject to Copyright Rules, Society of Automotive Engineers of Japan, Inc. All submissions must be based on the rules. When the registration has co-authors, the individual who made a registration are required to undertake the responsibility for confirmation the acceptance of and the compliance to the rules by all co-authors.
