Elucidation of Accident Risk Structure in Older Drivers Based on an Integrated Analysis of Driving Aptitude Tests and Surveys on Lifestyle, Health, and Driving Awareness Shunji Taniguchi・Rin Ito・Hirofumi Aoki (Nagoya University) This study integrates survey data on lifestyle, health, driving behavior, and safety awareness with results from driving aptitude tests to conduct a multifaceted analysis of accident risk structures. The findings confirm pathways whereby health decline increases accident risk through impaired cognitive function, and reveal discrepancies between self-assessed and actual driving abilities. Furthermore, the relationship with the perceived necessity of ADAS is clarified, and directions for effective safety interventions are proposed. |
